Established in the year 1998, by Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Act 13, 1998. Over a sprawling Campus of about 241.64 acres land, the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya is marching towards development into a center of excellence in the arena of Technical Education, Research and Innovations. Under its umbrella there are 05 UTD's , 130 affiliated Engineering Colleges, 215 Pharmacy Colleges, 54 MCA Colleges 02 B.Design Colleges 02 Architecture Colleges and 02 Ph.D Research Center imparting Graduate level instructions running around 17 under graduate level courses, 85 Polytechnic institutions offering diploma courses in emerging and conventional disciplines. Situated amidst an aesthetic and hilly surrounding, the University is now offering Ph.Ds in 17 branches at 12 Research Center affiliated RGPV , Bhopal.

it is important that we capitalize on the rich talent pool which RGPV possesses
in plenty, maximise the output of the capable, creative and highly educated faculty
while at the same time leverage advantage ICT and advantage connectivity and networking
to transform RGPV as a world class knowledge university. University has placed high
end industry relevant research activities high on its academic agenda. The University
has already associated itself with prestigious international universities like University
of Houston, Texas, USA, Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok and Osmania University
Hyderabad to exchange researchers and teachers of these universities. The university
has also entered into MOUs with Microsoft, IBM, Altair and Schrodinger in order
to improve employability of the students. These companies are benchmark in their
fields and providing regular training to the faculty and students on cutting edge
technologies. To provide world class knowledge infrastructure the University has
setup Centre of Excellence in Information Technology, Green Energy Technology and
Drug Discovery and Design to cater to the need of researchers and all student fraternity
of RGPV. In our quest to strengthen our knowledge infrastructure we have strengthened
digital library and established an EDUSAT based studio cum classroom with the support
of ISRO to connect RGPV with 62 affiliated institutions in MP. A knowledge park
has also been proposed for RGPV to strengthen our support for world class technology
incubation and new product development. It is a matter of high satisfaction that
UG students and faculty in our affiliated institutions are also making their mark
at national level innovative product design competitions.
